Vedam Powers the Design of 60T Bollard Pull Tug for Visakhapatnam Port Authority

Visakhapatnam, India — Vedam is proud to announce its role as the complete design partner for the 60T Bollard Pull Tug being constructed by Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) for the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA). Vedam provided both Basic Design and Production Design for the vessel, reinforcing its position as a trusted expert in tug design.
 
The steel-cutting ceremony, held at HSL, marked a significant milestone in the project. The event was graced by Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Chairman of VPA, and attended by senior leadership from both VPA and HSL. This ceremony served as a strong symbol of the enduring collaboration between two of Visakhapatnam’s leading maritime institutions.
 
Speaking at the occasion, Cmde Hemant Khatri, IN (Retd), CMD of HSL, acknowledged and appreciated Vedam’s contributions as a design partner, recognizing the precision, quality, and value brought to the project.
