VEDAM Design Celebrates Launch of 41.5 m Fast Patrol Vessel for Nigerian Client

VEDAM Design is pleased to announce the successful launch of a 41.5 m Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) designed for our esteemed client in Nigeria. The launch marks a significant milestone for the project and reflects VEDAM’s continued commitment to delivering reliable, efficient, and high-performance naval architectural solutions for modern patrol and security vessels.
The vessel has been designed to meet demanding operational requirements while ensuring optimal performance, safety, and build efficiency. Through a collaborative approach between the design team, client, and shipyard, the project progressed smoothly from concept to construction and finally to launch.
Key Principal Particulars
  • Length Overall: 41.50 m
  • Breadth Moulded: 7.00 m
  • Depth Moulded: 4.80 m
  • Design Draft: 2.50 m
  • Design Speed: 20 knots
VEDAM Design provided comprehensive naval architectural and engineering support, covering the project from basic design through detailed production design. The engineering scope ensured that the design intent aligned with the shipyard’s construction requirements.
Special emphasis was placed on weight optimization, hull form efficiency, structural strength, and performance validation. These design considerations enabled the vessel to achieve the required speed, stability, and operational capability while maintaining efficient construction processes for the shipyard.
The successful launch shows our technical expertise, structured engineering approach, and close collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
This vessel represents the first in a planned series, with additional vessels expected to be launched in the coming months. VEDAM Design looks forward to seeing the remaining vessels progress toward completion and contribute to enhanced maritime security and operational capability.
