Corporate Social Responsibility

Vedam’s Annual Blood Donation Camp

At Vedam, we prioritise giving back to the community through impactful initiatives. Our annual blood donation camp, a key part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, exemplifies this commitment. Partnering with local health organisations, we facilitate voluntary blood donations to raise awareness about the vital need for blood in medical emergencies.

Blood Donation Drive: Celebrating World Blood Donor Day

Celebrated World Blood Donor Day with a remarkable turnout, collecting 74 blood bags. This initiative reflects Vedam’s commitment to giving back to the community and raising awareness about the vital need for blood donations.

Free Activity-based Learning and Mentoring Centre for Children.

Holistic Learning Environment for Children

Free activity-based learning and mentoring centre for children from economically weaker communities in urban slums and rural villages. Our holistic learning environment helps children build a strong educational foundation, develop self-esteem, and assimilate values, maximizing their potential to become economically independent and responsible citizens.

FREE 360-degree Education and Learning Environment

We support children’s holistic development through academics, activity-based conceptual learning, value education, mentoring and counseling, field trips, structured and unstructured play, discussions and feedback, self-study, cultural activities, art and creativity, theatre, dance, music/poetry, oratory skills, and sports. Expert counseling and mentoring sessions on career and personal development are also provided.

Beneficiaries of this project

We serve children aged 6-16 in communities like Joseph-Patil Wadi, Sunder Wadi, Deva-chi-Wadi, Madh Island, and other nearby areas through daily workshops. We also conduct occasional workshops for children in rural villages.

2. Women Empowerment Program

We empower economically disadvantaged women in urban slums and rural villages by reviving traditional arts and handicrafts through skill development programs.  We offer free training in tailoring, hand embroidery, traditional painting (Madhubani and Warli), beautician skills, hairstyling, mehndi, home decor creation, and crafting jewelry, bags, and hand-painted cards.

Our livelihood generation program ensures a steady income for these women artisans through the sale of their handcrafted products. We believe empowering women empowers families.  We also provide periodic health check-ups, mentoring, counseling, yoga, and other support activities.
