Overview:
The Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASWSWC) is an indigenous naval vessel built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd., Kolkata, under the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s ‘Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat’ initiative. The vessel measures 77.6 meters in length, has a displacement of 900 tonnes, and achieves a speed of 25 knots at 85% MCR.
Scope of Work:
Vedam was entrusted with delivering the complete Detail Design scope for the vessel, which included:
Development of a comprehensive 3D model
Preparation of production drawings for Piping, HVAC, and Cable Tray systems
Coordination with the shipyard to meet stringent design and production timelines
Outcome:
Vedam successfully delivered all design packages on or ahead of schedule, ensuring seamless integration of systems and efficient shipyard execution. This project stands as a testament to Vedam’s capability in delivering high-quality, time-bound engineering solutions for complex defense and naval programs.
